The Pediatric Emergency Medicine Research Associates’ Program (PEMRAP) provides WashU undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in medicine or an allied health care field, with the opportunity to participate in clinical, patient-oriented research projects at St. Louis Children’s Hospital on the Washington University Medical Campus.
St. Louis Children’s Hospital is one of the leading providers of pediatric health care in the nation. It is consistently ranked among the best pediatric hospitals in the United States, and we are dedicated to finding students eager to learn from top physicians in their fields.
Our PEMRAP students assist WashU Medicine faculty members who serve as principal investigators for clinical research studies. Students will attend weekly classes and have the opportunity to shadow in the emergency department.

Your first step is to complete the PEMRAP I registration form in order to express interest in this one-of-a-kind program. We also offer PEMRAP II to advance your pediatric emergency medicine research skills.
